大家好！欢迎光临由帝皇顾问为你带来的这期职场专栏圣诞特别版。在这个寒冷的冬天，我们特地为大家带来了来自帝皇顾问公司成员的最温暖的节日问候。
当我们站在这个岁末年初的时刻回首已经走过的这一年的时候，我们每一个人都会清楚地记得过去的这一年中全球金融危机对就业市场造成了怎样的消极影响。很多工作申请者甚至在职工作人员都不可避免地成为了直接受害者，全球就业市场人才之间的竞争变得愈发激烈。不知你有没有听说，如今在中国的一些外企工作的白领女性纷纷选择怀孕来逃避被公司炒鱿鱼的风险，“白领宝宝”这一名词应运而生。与此同时，相信大家也都看到了前些天各大新闻对于12月4号在中国河南举办的人才交流大会的报道。到场的数万名求职者把大门挤坏、场面极其火爆甚至几度失控、多名学生被挤到在地的情形实在让人难以遗忘。而这些都仅仅是2008年全球就业招聘市场的一些“微缩景观”！
身处伦敦市中心的帝皇顾问凭着我们与伦敦金融城客户之间千丝万缕的联系，在年初的时候就看到了这些就业市场将要呈现出的问题。我们深知，很多身处英国的年轻中国人都愿意在完成他们的学业以后，留在这里获得一些真正的工作经验。我们更知道，我们的英国客户是多么地希望开发中国市场和需要真正优秀的中国人才加入他们。因此，我们决定了开始一个崭新的工程－留英中国毕业生就业培训项目，为通过我们评估的优秀人才提供专业的职业介绍和就业培训，手把手地把他们带进他们梦想中的世界顶级公司。
半年多以来，参与到这个项目中的申请者们已经深刻体会到了他们的优势通过我们的精心帮助可以在用人单位面前变得何等凸显。我们已经成功地帮助不少申请者在伦敦金融城的各行业间找到了属于他们自己的位置，还有一些申请者已经通过努力闯入了工作申请最后时刻，等待最终结果。就在这样一个竞争激烈的就业市场中，就在这样一个经济走向萧条的大背景下，我们有针对性的帮助与“诀窍”让他们体会到了自己的价值可以变得多么炙手可热！
同时，为了满足来自不同背景的留学生的需求，我们还在最近推出了一个新项目，推荐中国留学生到一家著名英国公司进行为期一个月的实习，这一经验的具体行业由我们的工作人员根据申请者的背景进行选择并会和申请者达成共识。为了保证每一位申请者在实习期间都能更出色地表现自己，我们经验丰富的培训专家们还会为他们在实习开始之前提供全方位的专业培训。这一项目的精髓就在于申请者可以把这一经历在实习结束以后写入他们简历，从而大大增加未来申请成功的机会。
在这里，我还想向大家介绍一位帝皇顾问的新成员－Charlotte Thatcher。Charlotte在英国的银行和金融服务业招聘这一领域有着多年的工作经验，曾经负责Morgan Stanley的用人招聘工作。在帝皇顾问，她将主要负责拓展我们和用人单位之间的关系，为我们的客户－每一个你－尽最大努力提供更多工作机会。
总之，帝皇顾问存在的价值就在于我们总是想尽办法了解你在英就业的各种需求，并为你尽力找到最佳解决方案。正如我们多次强调的，我们的专业与实力让我们有足够的信心助你打造通往顶尖工作的成功之路！

Working on the coaching programme has been enjoyable for me. Throughout my career at top UK universities as career office advisor, I have worked with many hundreds of graduates. However due to the limited resources available at universities, I could never really get involved in the whole process of the application. This is the first time that I have really in-depth and thorough in each candidate’s applications and it has been a great pleasure to me. I look forward to helping more Chinese students to succeed in 2009!

It has been a very tough year for any graduate who is looking for a job. For our Chinese candidates, due to the cultural issues, the struggle is even more acute. I feel very privileged to be in the position to help this group of highly motivated and ambitious people who I believe deserve to do well. I also believe that UK economy needs new Chinese blood to further connect UK businesses with China, a most promising market even in this difficult time.

I am full of exciting anticipation to be involved in Mandarin Consultant’s work in assisting Chinese graduates and young professionals to get into the UK job market and particularly the banking and finance sector.
I am pleased that I can utilise my 15 years of work experience as a recruiter for City firms including Morgan Stanley and other investment banks to help our Chinese candidates. I have been impressed with the calibre of the candidates and feel confident that I can convince UK employers to take them on to contribute to their business development for China.
